Appliances Ltd has been
in the electronics
business for over 35
years! As
you can imagine, the
Directors - husband and
wife team,
Peter and Selina
Lim
have
seen a lot of changes
in electronics over
this
time.
Starting in South
Auckland, Lim
Electronics have
remained true
to their roots by
remaining in Manukau
City. Originally
based in Mangere East
for 20 years, the
business started off on
the corner of
Massey and Yates
Rd.
Here, the
corner shop expanded
quickly which
eventually meant having
to leave as the
business had
out-grown their
premises.
In 1994, Lim
Electronics farewelled
the Massey Rd
store, moving
to their current
premises at
61
Cavendish Dr, Manukau
City.
At the new, larger
and more open-plan
store, Lim
Electronics were
able to create a
large
Service
Department
for the
staff of service
technicians.
Lim
Electronics were
also the first to
pioneer the
“Sound
Room”
which
is a purpose built room
for listening and
sampling the high
quality stereos, DVD’s,
and back then, VCRs,
when they were
still in fashion.
This room
simulates an average
living room and its
purpose is for
people
to come and
listen and watch
television with high
definition surround
sound.
35 years on and still
strong, Lim Electronics
continue to strive to
provide an excellent
range of products and
service.
